Fort Smith is full of natural beauty. Lakes and rivers, ponds and creeks, walking trails, nature centers, and so much more are part of what continues to keep Fort Smith beautiful. The apple blossom and mockingbird (two of Arkansas' state symbols) can be seen abundantly in the town "where the new south meets the old west."
